The match, however, was a thriller which will go down as one of the best Classicos in history, with end-to-end action from the start.
Messi’s last minute goal fired Barcelona to the top of the Spanish league, as they share same points with Real who have an outstanding match.
Netting his 500th goal for Barca, the Argentine is the highest scorer in El Classico with 23 goals.
