South African Group Rallies Support For President Buhari

The Ondo State Union in South Africa on Monday called on Nigerians to use the return of President Muhammadu Buhari from medical treatment to be more united.

Mr Trust Owoyele, the President of the union, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on phone from Johannesburg, South Africa, that the group was happy with the President`s return.

“ We join other Nigerians to rejoice with President Buhari on his successful return from abroad.

“We equally enjoin all Nigerians to support the Federal Government in the task of moving the nation forward. Nigeria is our country and it is important that the unity and development of the country are sacrosanct,” he said.

Owoyele said the union was optimistic that Buhari`s return would trigger more development-oriented policies and programmes aimed at uplifting the standard of living in the country.

He also said, “ Leaders are made by God and President Buhari has been chosen to lead the country.

“ Ondo Union in South Africa appreciates his good work and leadership qualities. We also join other Nigerians to wish him good health in the task to leading the nation.”

According to him, Nigeria is blessed with abundant human and material resources which other countries could not boast of.

“ It is, therefore, our belief that with unity, cooperation, and good leadership, Nigeria will attain greater heights with these resources at her disposal.

“ We are saying that Nigerians are equal to the task. Let us join hands with the government to make this happen,” Owoyele said.
