The man that detonated explosives at a concert attended by children and adults in Manchester on Monday has been identified as Salman Abedi.
Police have identified the lone suicide bomber that killed children and fans at a concert in Manchester Arena Monday night as Salman Abedi.
Abedi, 22, detonated Improvised Explosive Device after Ariana Grande ended her performance and fans were leaving.
Local reports said Abedi was the child of Libyan refugees who moved to the UK to flee Muammar Gaddafi's regime, and was one of four children.
Greater Manchester Police did not immediately confirm the suspect's identity as armed officers raided his home.
Residents were ordered to remain inside their homes in Elsmore Road, Fallowfield, where Abedi was registered as living.
Abedi killed 22 persons while 59 others were injured, with some having injuries that British Prime Minister, Theresa May, described as life-threatening.
IS has claimed responsibility for the attack, but police are yet to make statements on whether Abedi had a link with any terrorists group.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested by the police in connection with the attack.
Some of the dead persons have been identified by the police investigating the attack that US President Donal Trump condemned.
Trump had referred to the terrorists as evil losers in a speech he made in Jerusalem where he is pushing to restore peace between Israel and Palestinians.
